Hello ladies.

My mom is currently working on a project for Long Beach Airport and needs to know of some cool commercial seating that would be good for an airport. Does anyone have any excellent commercial seating companies they know of?! ANYTHING would help! Thanks girls - hope you are all well!

Mouse Pad Madness!

Hey Ladies!

I know this is silly, but we all need to be inspired... especially in our work environment. So I have been searching for a mouse pad for my office (or should I say cubicle!) and one for Justin's office. All of the new laser mouses just don't work without anything under them and I hate the disgusting looking mouse pads that just need to be thrown out. Here are a couple that I thought were neat. I have barely started looking but I thought I would see if you guys have seen any fun ones around. If you have, I would love it if you shared! Hope you are all doing well!

Hey Girls!

I am so tired of my disgusting natural oak kitchen cabinets and would die for kitchen cabinets like these.
Just thought I'd share.
Hope all is well!!

My little Elisa placed 1st in a baby photo contest. We are visiting this summer with my in-laws in Campbell, Missouri...the Peach Capital. They have a Peach Fair every year and different beauty pageants. We submitted Elisa's photo just for the fun of it and we just found out that she won! We are very happy.

I have a dream...

actually, I have an idea.
I think we should use this blog as a "Good Design" blog.
I love hearing eveyone's updates (and keep 'em coming!), but we could also use it to post new products, websites, pictures, blogs, outfits, ANYTHING that is considered "good design."
Since leaving school, I've felt a little outside of the design world, and this could be a fun way to "keep our fingers in it" (as T.L. would say).

What do you think, girls?

Reunion in Des Moines

On Monday, Kristin and Brandon (and Addy) were driving through Iowa on their way home and they decided to pay us a visit!! We met up for a lunch at an awesome BBQ joint that Kristin found in a magazine and it was awesome!
We laughed about the good old days, let the kids get acquainted, devoured our lunches, and played with the dog.
Not a bad day.

Bonfire on the Beach

We had a blast roasting marshmallows, digging a sand trench, and flying a giant dragon kite at the beach on Independence Day. Dad built a great bonfire that kept us warm in the foggy/windy Oregon coast beach weather. I am holding my precious little nephew in the picture. On this trip I met little Lincoln for the first time... he is so cute! I cannot get enough of him!

Kristin and Ashlee

Us Radmall's are in Georgia for the summer for an internship and Ashlee came into town for her cousins wedding.  We met up for lunch, browsed through some over-priced design showrooms, and spent some time catching up!  It was fun to see each other!

wedding in the windy city

Yeah! I'm married! Here are some pics for those of you who are not on facebook.
I designed my dress to resemble Grace Kelly's wedding gown.... It was a lot of fun.

I saw this shot in a chicago magazine and I had to have it to so we found out where it was taken and wala!

DownEast Reunion

I was in Utah for my sisters graduation and went to visit Stefanie so she could meet Addyson. We decided to go to DownEast (typical us!) And guess who we saw?! Newly married Mr. Eduardo Castillo!! We laughed so hard, we couldn't believe the odds of us being there at the same time! He and Veronica were headed back up to Idaho after their wedding. It was good to see him and catch up for a little bit
Hope everyone is doing well!!

Color Test

My friend posted this on her blog. It's a test to see how well you are able to distinguish colors. It was pretty fun, and something that every interior designer should try. Post your scores so we can see who is the biggest color genius!!

Current Email Addresses

Hey girls! I hope everyone is doing great and loving life after college. Congrats to those who have had babies, gotten married/engaged, gotten a new job, or who are just living their dreams :) I know this is kind of random, but Sister Harris emailed me and asked me to help her get everyones current email addresses. Since I am still kind of in the neighborhood she was able to contact me. She also has Ruth's address as well. If you could all send me your emails that would be great! Thanks!

Aloha!

Finally I have something worth blogging about! It all started on Dec 21 when I sat next to Amanda Miller in church (she was a senior in the ID program when we were freshmen). I had spoken to her once several weeks before about our connection through the program but that was about it. This week, after relief society, she turned to me and asked me how the job hunt was going. I told her it wasn’t. She said that she was having a similar problem finding a design job (gotta love this economy right?). She said that instead she had found a job in Hawaii for the next 4-6 months raising queen bees. Her family owns and operates a bee farm so this was not so unusual for her. She said she was leaving in three weeks and she hadn’t been able to find anyone to go with her yet. I couldn’t believe no one wanted to live in Hawaii for the rest of the winter. I asked her if you needed experience and she said no. She said they would train whomever she brought because it is too hard to find people with experience. She said the owner of the company would provide housing (a 3 bedroom house for $400/person a month) fully furnished. Then Sunday school started. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I went home to think about it. The next day we got 8 inches of snow, I had to deliver flowers in the worst weather possible. I had to push three of my coworkers cars out of the parking lot. I had to drive 15 mph on the way home because visibility was so bad. And my decision was made! I decided to move to Hawaii.

About a week later I was talking to Amy Jenkins and she told me she was being laid off from her job so I mentioned this opportunity to her. She debated it for longer than I did (what can I say...I can’t resist a good adventure!), and eventually she gave in! She just texted me and told me she bought her plane ticket. We fly out a week from tomorrow (January 20). I am SO EXCITED!! I’m nervous about the bee part, but thrilled for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to live in Hawaii. I thank Heavenly Father every day for leading me to such incredible friends and opportunities. When I trust in Him my life always turns out for the best.
